*Clean your gutters and downspouts - Repair gutters and downspouts if they are needed
*Check your roof, skylights, and flashing

*Prepare or install storm doors and windows
*Consider buying a generator
*Cover and protect outdoor furniture, barbecues, outdoor equipment, and firewood with heavy tarps. Secure the tarps with ropes or heavy objects such as bricks.
*Have trees trimmed
